Captain Ray’s lifelong passion for the water began at 14 years old. Since 1966, he has captained a wide range of vessels, crafting a career defined by innovation, adventure, and hospitality. His maritime resumé reads like a journey through some of the world’s most scenic waterways:

1970 – 2000: Owner/Operator of Snow Mountain Camp, home to a groundbreaking water ski program.

2001 – 2016: Owner/Operator of Kona Sea Sports, widely known as Shogun Charters, offering unforgettable excursions in Hawaii—from sport fishing and scuba diving to dolphin and whale encounters, snorkeling, and daytime manta adventures.

2016 – 2020: Solo captain navigating Florida’s Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and venturing offshore to the stunning Bahamas and Abaco Islands.

After two thrilling decades in Hawaii and Florida, Captain Ray charted a course back to his California roots. His trusted vessel, Victoria’s Seacret, made the journey from Florida to her new home at Village West Marina in Stockton, CA.
